“LEAP” stands for Lifestyle Eating and Performance

LEAP is the personalized diet protocol that is designed based on food sensitivity testing, specifically the MRT©(Mediator Release Test).  This blood test identifies the foods that are responsible for triggering the body’s release of chemical mediators that cause pain and inflammation.  These mediators also produce a broad range of symptoms that vary widely among individuals.

How Does MRT©Work?

 MRT©is a blood test used to identify immune-based, but non-IgE mediated, adverse food and chemical reactions.  The test exposes small samples of your blood against a panel of 170 foods and food chemicals.  MRT©works by measuring whether the immune cells in your blood react by releasing chemical mediators capable of causing pain and inflammation after they are exposed to the test substances.

The LEAP Protocol

Based on your individual test results, a personalized elimination diet is designed to decrease symptoms.  Progress is measured through completion of a symptom survey before testing and at intervals as you complete the program.  At the same time, work is done to identify and correct the root cause of your food intolerance issues.  The goal is always to restore health and ultimately lead to greater freedom in food choices.
