Jennifer Masters, MS, RDN, LDN, IFNCP
Certified LEAP Therapist

I am a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist specializing in integrative and functional nutrition.  I have over 30 years experience in pediatrics and GI health care.

Over 10 years ago, I worked with my first client using the LEAP protocol. The results were life changing. After years of suffering, her irritable bowel puzzle was solved. Being able to accurately identify her problem foods made all the difference. I was hooked. The client had tried everything, and nothing had worked. For the first time, I was able to offer an alternative solution that addressed the root cause of the problem. Thus, I began my journey to learn more about integrative and functional nutrition.

My passion is helping clients find Integrative Nutrition Solutions to Restore Health.

All disease begins in the gut”

While this may be an over statement, more and more research points to an imbalance of gut flora (dysbiosis) as a key factor in the development of chronic disease including autoimmune disease.  Gut dysbiosis can damage the gut wall leading to increased intestinal permeability commonly known as “leaky gut”.  You might think of a healthy gut as a “brick wall” which keeps the bad guys out.  A damaged gut, however, is more like a “picket fence” allowing intestinal contents (food particles, microbes, toxins) to leak into the bloodstream.  This activates the immune system which increases the likelihood of food allergies and sensitivities and adds to the body’s toxic burden.

Nutrition is Power

The food you eat directly influences the health of your gut flora and ultimately your overall health.  The food you eat also has the power to change the way your genes express themselves, whether it be for health or for disease.

I believe in the power of food as medicine.  I would love to guide you in a personalized nutrition approach to support your digestive health, your immune system, and your overall well-being.
